Abstract

Superconductivity in GdBa₂Cu₃O_x has been detected by AC and DC electrical resistance measurements. For both cases the onset temperature for the superconducting transition is 108 K, with a zero-resistance estimate of T_c=100 K for the DC measurement and 99 K for the AC measurement. X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that the sample is mostly single-phase.
