Involved with the AAALAC accreditation process for over 25 years, I have served as an ad hoc site visitor and as a member of the Council on Accreditation (for 14 years). In this capacity, I lead accreditation site visits to academic and commercial institutions to assess and evaluate research animal care and use programs as a way to establish alignment with accepted standards.
