Previously she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Boston Children's Hospital, where she was part of the Harvard Medical School Department of Genetics, the Boston Children's Hospital Stem Cell Program, and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Dr. Brainson completed her Bachelor of Arts at Middlebury College and earned her PhD from Tufts University. Recently, Dr. Brainson was named a Markey Women Strong Distinguished Researcher and grant recipient.
Her research focuses on defining precision medicine opportunities for lung cancer by leveraging ideas and techniques from stem cell biology and epigenetics. Her research is currently funded through the National Cancer Institute, Markey Women Strong, the American Lung Association, the American Institute for Cancer Research, and the American Cancer Society.
Research Interests
