2018: Purchase Research Services Agreement/ .5FTE Research RN/CRA

This Master Collaboration Agreement ("Agreement") is effective as of the date of last signature and is between Children’s Hospital Medical Center d/b/a Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, an Ohio non-profit corporation with its principal place of business at 3333 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45229-3039 (“CCHMC”), and University of Kentucky Research Foundation, with its principal place of business at 109 Kinkead Hall, Lexington, KY 40506-0057 (“Network Member”). WHEREAS, CCHMC will function as the operations center for the Advanced Cancer Therapies Network (“ACTN”); and WHEREAS, ACTN is a cooperative group to be comprised of legally independent member healthcare and research institutions and professionals and ancillary personnel, the goal of which is to increase patient access to novel pediatric cancer therapies, including the areas of anti-cancer treatment and non-therapeutic trials (each as “Study” and together “Studies”) and foster rich research forward collaboration (the “ACTN Consortium or Network”); and WHEREAS, ACTN provides the infrastructure for Network Member to collectively share knowledge and science to define clinical priorities and opportunities to facilitate development of novel pediatric research therapies via Investigator Initiated Trials (each an “IIT”, and collectively “IIT’s”); and WHEREAS, Network Member desires to be a member of the ACTN Consortium and is capable of performing the functions contemplated in this Agreement; and WHEREAS, the ACTN Consortium is of interest and benefit to Network Member, and will further the instructional and research objectives of Network Member in a manner consistent with its status as a research institution, and Network Member is willing to enter into this Agreement to support the ACTN Consortium and its goals.
