ARRA: National Center for Cognitive Informatics and Decision making in Healthcare

Dr. Johnson will co-lead the UT ONC SHARP Project 4 (Cognitive Information Design and Visualization) with Drs. Zhang (UTH), Shneiderman (UMD), and Plaisant (UMD), and act as a liaison between the other projects and the members of the visualization project, including those at the University of Maryland. The liaison role is necessary because each of the other projects, while not directly dealing with visualization, will either inform the visualization project or will require assistance with visual representations. Dr. Johnson will direct the clinical needs analyses that inform the visualization and the evaluation of the prototype patient-centered cognitive support visualization tools. This includes coordinating UTH Project 4 personnel, both faculty, staff, and GRAs. Dr. Johnson will playa leading role in the development, assessment, and refinement of all tools.201012141507
