Children's Justice Act

The Children’s Justice Act (CJA) Task Force will be responsible for the activities of the CJA State Task Force that reviews and evaluates services provided to children and families by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. The CJA Task Force reviews and evaluates State investigative, administrative and both civil and criminal judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, as well as cases involving suspected child maltreatment related families and cases involving a potential combination of jurisdictions, such as interstate, Federal-State, and State-Tribal. The Task Force makes policy and training recommendations ad may make such other comments and recommendations as are considered relevant and useful to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
