Continued Monitoring of American Chestnut Restoration Sites on Surface Mined Land in Kentucky

Short-term goals: Continued monitoring of established American Chestnut research sites in Kentucky to fully evaluate field trials on surface mine lands. Long-term goals: Evaluate project(s) success, disseminate results in TACF publications and peer reviewed journals, and develop reforestation/restoration guidelines and recommendations for reestablishing stands ofTACF's American chestnuts within the Appalachian region.
