Determinants of Drug Preference in Humans

Project Description: The objectives of the project are: 1) to determine the effects of methamphetamine on regional brain activity during anticipation of reward, task-related functional connectivity, and resting state connectivity; and 2) to determine the relationship between neural effects of methamphetamine and behavioral rewarding effects of methamphetamine. Dr. Weafer will provide advice and consultation on fMRI data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as correlating fMRI and behavioral data. Dr. Weafer will devote 0.9 academic months of her time each year to this project.
