Develop an Asset Management System to Compliment the Video System 09-386

The objective of this research is to develop an asset management system to inventory the assets on Kentucky'S state-maintained roadways. Secondary objectives would be to accomplish the following: I )Design a system that would work separately or conjunction with the Cabinet's potential video log system, 2) Create data in a format that would allow it to be stored spatially in order to be linked to the transportation network, 3) Develop an end product would be similar to the SignClick software already in use, and 4) Develop a system that can be used in the field using GPS to locate the asset or in an office to update or maintain the inventory.
