KHRC has opened up the medication regulation to provide for a ban on anabolic steroids. This issue has required an individual with equine medication knowledge and has provided a smoother process for the research. This individual is employed by the University of Kentucky and also heads a necropsy program that researches and studies deceased horses and keeps valuable infomration relating to drug research in the Commonwealth.
