FAME 3--Fractional Flow Reserve vs. Angiography for Multivessel Evaluation Trial

Detalles del proyecto

Description

The purpose of this study is to compare outcomes of patients who have multivessel coronary artery disease who are randomized to either bypass surgery (CABG) or Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI, or stent). The objective is to determine which treatment modality, PCI vs. CABG results in better outcomes. At UK, we aim to enroll 10 patients. Patients will be identified following a diagnostic left heart catheterization (LHC) procedure. Once a patient is identified as qualifying based on LHC results, study staff will approach the patient about participation in the study. All data collected, with the exception of a questionnaire, is considered to be part of the patient's usual care. Patients will be followed for up to 5 years.
