FY 15-16 UK Mosquito Surveillance

This University Contract will allow DPH to maintain baseline mosquito surveillance data at a lower cost than otherwise could be achieved in-house. UK can provide specific entomology expertise that DPH lacks within the parameters of existing research in their entomology department. This contract supports travel and operational costs for regional surveillance being done throughout UK and allows the Department to access this data for our purposes. This contract specifies regional sampling and testing as necessary and as indicated by the sampling conditions. Baseline data is required to support any future attemtps at reimbursement for mosquito abatement activities through the federal government.
