Impact Analysis

The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at the University of Kentucky will conduct a study to examine the impact of the NASA Kentucky Space Grant and EPSCoR programs at the University of Kentucky within the economy of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Kentucky Space Grant Consortium is one of 52 consortia nationwide that work with NASA to enact NASA’s higher education workforce initiatives in partnership with state educational objectives, whereas NASA EPSCoR serves to increase the NASA-related research capacity of EPSCoR states, which includes Kentucky. The economic impact analysis report will provide output at the county, ADD regions, and state levels, detailing the direct, indirect, and induced effects of research dollars and employment on the Kentucky economy.
