Description

Dr. Kurzynske will be a member of the grant advisory group. She will help identify target areas and content for food safety courses. She will take the lead in editing the curricula for literacy level. She will seek IRB approval. She will hire and train a gradlJate student on TABE literacy testing. Dr. Kurzynske and the graduate student will recruit volunteers for validation studies on courses and convene focus groups to test curricula. In addition, she will assess students' food safety knowledge and administer CPFM examinations. Dr. Kurzynske and the graduate student will recruit for participation in the study; administer and analyze pre/post tests, demographic data, and questionnaires; administer CPFM examinations; analyze data; and convene focus group. She will prepare manuscripts and present results at national meetings.
