KCM Regional Coordinator/Mathematics Outreach Specialist

- Systematically support UK regional mathematics coaches and mathematics intervention teachers through regular physical and/or electronic meetings during the academic year. The online support program will employ modem interactive web-based distance learning technologies and will be coordinated through KCM. Assist in the training of coaches, intervention specialists and regional coordinators in the usage of the web-based distance learning technologies and web resources. - Provide general mathematics outreach support to the Kentucky mathematics community. This may include such activities as organizing, assisting and/or facilitating professional development for teachers and/or administrative staff and meeting with teachers, families, students, administrative staff and/or other parties with interest in enhanced teaching and learning of mathematics. Promote awareness of KCM activities and programs in regional mathematics and educational communities. - Engage in a systematic program of personal professional development through active participation as a participant and an instructor in the summer and academic year trainings for coaches and mathematics specialists offered through KCM. Attend at least two mathematics and/or teaching conferences. Participate in regional coordinator meetings and trainings.
