Description
OBJECTIVES: The objective of this research is to develop an asset management system to
inventory the assets on Kentucky's state-maintained roadways. Secondary objectives would be to
accomplish the following:
• Design a system that would work separately or conjunction with the Cabinet's potential video
log system,
• Create data in a format that would allow it to be stored spatially in order to be linked to the
transportation network,
• Develop an end product would be similar to the SignClick software already in use, and
• Develop a system that can be used in the field using GPS to locate the asset or in an office to
update or maintain the inventory.
