Description
The specific aims of the KY Occupational Safety and Health Surveillance (KOSHS)
program are to: 1) maintain comprehensive multi-source population-based surveillance of
occupational injuries using 20 indicators; 2) establish a state-specific indicator for the surveillance of
occupational falls and perform a narrative analysis of older worker falls using Workers' Claims data; 3)
Sustain the consortium established in 2006; 4) apply nonparametric statistical analysis methods to the
Collision Report Analysis for Safer Highways (CRASH) dataset to identify geographic areas of
Kentucky highways with the highest probability of commercial vehicle crashes; 5) Analyzing and
disseminating results of surveillance data; and 6) perform an evaluation of major activities.
