KHIT 112, Developing Work Standards, Special Notes and Specifications

KYTC is planning to apply more bridge preventive maintenance (PM) activities in a programmatic manner. Work conducted under KYSPR 16-504 identified 8 basic PM tasks that KYTC should apply in all of its districts. Those tasks include both cyclic and condition-based PM activities. While the current draft report provides recommendations for when to apply those and descriptions of the work entailed, actual work documents are needed to enable those tasks to be used by the districts either by contract or by using in-house maintenance personnel.
