KyFarmStart II: A Whole Farm Management Education Program for Beginning Farmers

KY Farm Start is one of a network of US beginning farmer programs. The success of and demand for the original KY Farm Start program from participants, local county extension agents, and industry professionals has been powerful, speaking to the need to continue, expand and diversify Kentucky's beginning farmer program. Based on participant, extension agent and potential participant feedback, we will continue with the main KY Farm Start components while adding several alternative content options, expanding the online curriculum, providing network opportunities for participants, and utilizing our new partnerships to reach out to beginning farmers with both traditional and non- traditional agricutlure backgrounds.
