Network Site, Cancer Prevention and Control Network (WVU SIP 2)

The University of Kentucky Prevention Research Center (UK PRC) will col1aborate in the development and evaluation of the Appalachian Cancer Research Consortium (ACRC), as described in the application for SIP 2-02, "Prevention Research Centers' Cancer Preven"tion and Control Network". Specifically, the UK PRC will provide an interdisciplinary team of personnel to provide leadership and technical support for the ACRC. The UK PRC will participate in Community Advisory Board and Steering Committee Meetings for the Network and assist in guiding development of Network infrastructure in partnership with the West Virginia University PRC. The UK PRC will collaborate with West Virginia University to support community-based i~tervention and dissemination research in cancer prevention and control in conjunction with partners in regional community-based organizations and locallstate health departments.
