Description
This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from Nick Ozburn of the Kentucky
Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) for a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed
stream restoration project on Ross Creek in Lee and Estill counties, Kentucky. This investigation is
intended to provide specific information concerning the nature and distribution of archaeological
resources within the project area. The work that is proposed will include a review of known
archaeological sites and an evaluation of the extant documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to
the project area. This information will serve as the basis for the completion of a Phase I archaeological
survey, using primarily subsurface investigative techniques.
