Photovoice for Montgomery County Health Department

Abstract: Every ?ve years, local health departments in Kentucky complete comprehensive community health assessments with cross-sector partners to inform strategic planning for community health improvements. The Public Health Accreditation Board suggests that Photovoice can provide important primary data for community health assessments. The PI has completed Photovoice projects for other local health departments for their community health assessments and was invited to facilitate a Photovoice project with Montgomery County community members to complement the efforts of other UK College of Public Health faculty to support the facilitation of the overall community health assessment process.
