Restricted scope for REU Supplement: MRI: Development of Versatile Mobile Range Scanning System

In the original major equipment development award, there are several tasks that are suitable for undergraduate students. In this REU request, we have identified two such tasks: (1) developing a controller interface on a mobile platform; and (2) data collection and registration. These tasks are also interesting from an undergraduate perspective (mobile development and operating state-of-art 3D scanning equipment). Therefore we request funding to support these activities.
