SPR 13-459: Land Surveying Training

Advancements is survey techniques are continually evolving including technologies such as GPS, LiDAR and other practices. At the same time, KYTC experience with proper surveying techniques is diminishing through reduced training opportunities and access to equipment. This project will evaluate develop appropriate training programs for field personnel on Land Surveying. The objective of this project is to develop training materials and activities for both classroom and field sessions. The training will be made available to KYTC Survey personnel and others as needed. The result of the training will be a more informed survey staff on new technologies and their proper use, and improved practice and efficiency of project surveying.
