Description
Rapid repair of impacted, damaged or deteriorated concrete bridge components will prevent irreversible damage to the structural integrity of the entire bridge in the future due to gradual spalling of concrete or corrosion of exposed steel. This study will implement the newly developed spliced carbon fiber reinforced polymer rod panels (CatStrong CRP) to rapidly repair/strengthen four selected bridges in Kentucky.
1) Deployment on four bridges of CatStrong Carbon fiber reinforced polymer Rod Panels (CRP) for rapid retrofit and/or strengthening; and 2) Produce a guide/specifications for the design and deployment of CatStrong.
