SPR 15-511: Best Practices for the Implementation of REAL ID

OBJECTIVE: Provide assistance for the implementation of completed research projects in accordance with defined and approved implementation activities. This will include the cost of developing/providing specifically defined initiatives, such as a workshop, specifications/guidelines, or on-site training. BACKGROUND: At times research recommendations/findings do not get implemented due to a gap between the completion of the research and the operational or procedural changes needed to realize the research recommendations. This bridging activity is needed to better realize the potential of highway research recommendations The Kentucky Department of Vehicle Regulation (DVR) is making plans to implement REAL ID. The objective of this study is to develop best practices for the implementation of the REAL ID Act in support of the DVR.
