Description
OBJECTIVE: To conduct, upon request, short-term research investigations and analyses, and provide timely response as required to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Also, initiate new projects, as requested, that are expected to continue into the next year with additional funding being allocated as appropriate.
BACKGROUND: Frequently principal investigators are called upon to conduct unforeseen investigations that include material performance, construction procedures, and the forensic evaluation of highway/bridge infrastructure. These investigations may vary in complexity depending on the situation and information desired.
