SPR 22-56, Unforeseen Investigations

Principal investigators are asked frequently to conduct unforeseen investigations, which encompass topics such as material performance, construction procedures, and the forensic evaluation of highway and bridge infrastructure. These investigations vary in complexity depending on the situation and information required. This funding is for KTC’s short-term research investigations and analyses, which enable the Center to respond in a timely manner to KYTC’s requests. It also lets researchers initiate new projects, upon request, that are expected to continue into the following year, with additional funding being allocated when appropriate.
