Description
The Fermilab muon g-2 experiment (E989) aims to measure the muon anomalous magnetic moment a_mu to 0.14 parts per million. Precision measurements of a_mu are sensitive to new physics at the TeV scale.
Funds from this fellowship will allow me participate in the development and verification of the simulation package that will be used to test positron identification algorithms and estimate systematic errors. It will also allow me to participate fully in the first E989 run currently schedule to start in March of 2017.
