Description

UK CTAC will provide eight, 2 day train the trainer events to create DCBS capacity to deliver the Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma: Resource Parent Workshop curriculum across the Commonwealth. Regional sites will be determined by DCBS using a strategy of targeting foster parent champions, and staff trainers who will make up the first training cohort. UK trainers will be responsible for preparation and delivery of content, preparing and distributing training materials, evaluation of the trainee proficiency in the content and consultation to trainees throughout year1. In Year 2, UK CTAC will co-lead the first training with this new group of trainers, and will provide consultation and mentoring to make sure the curriculum is delivered with fidelity, and to assist in overcoming barriers to effective delivery of content. The principal investigator will be Ginny Sprang, Ph.D., and the training team will consist of Masters and Ph.D. level trainers with expertise in this curriculum. The University of Kentucky utilizes Subrecipient for grants.
