UK Research/Solid Waste

The University will provide Solid Waste Program technical support to assist the Department of Military Affairs in meeting their obligation to execute federally funded projects at Kentucky Army National Guard locations. The Department of Military Affairs will establish project priorities. The primary work center will be in Frankfort with workspace and office equipment provided. Contracted employees will use a State or a University vehicle in the course of employment. KWRRI will be involved in conducting environmental site assistance visits, monitoring waste management compliance activities, evaluating materials usage, waste streams, disposal practices, pollution prevention and recycling opportunities, and implementing the Solid Waste Management Plan and Recycling Plan for Kentucky Army National Guard facilities.
