Resumen
An elective course on 'Computational Techniques in Mechanical System Analysis' was overviewed at the University of Kentucky for both graduate students and upper-level graduates. It was designed to provide students with a solid background in the mathematics behind various types of computer-based system analysis, and a good grasp of analysis capabilities available with modern engineering software tools. It balances between theory and application, and focuses on providing the students with a basic understanding of computational methods in static and dynamic structural system analysis. It includes significant use of commercial software, such as the ANSYS finite element package and MATLAB.
