Resumen

The transition is shown to be unusually abrupt for an epeiric sea floor; the nature of this transition and a concomitant proliferation of lithofacies are probably related to structurally controlled sea-floor topography. Basinal environments were characterized by anaerobic, pelagic sedimentation, and shelf environments by storm-related silt deposition. -from Authors
