Resumen

The machining performance for controlled surface quality measurements in porous tungsten are discussed. The modeling and optimization of the face-contour turning of porous tungsten is analyzed for controlling the surafce quality measurements. The combined effects of workpiece geometry, work material properties, tool geometry, and machining conditions on the porosity in face-contour turning of porous tungsten are investigated. The analysis shows that the suitable diamond tool are recommended to dispenser cathode manufacturers for obtaining acceptable emitting surfaces.
