Resumen

Biophysical simulation models provide a means for data generation and possess unrealized potential. A few practical considerations, however, can aid in realizing this potential. Selected issues, questions and recommendations concerning practical aspects of developing and implementing biophysical simulation models are presented. Unfortunately, there are no definitive answers to all the questions. Adoption of standard programming style, preparation of documentation and interaction between users and developers during the development usage process are recommended actions for developers.
