Resumen

This study aims at characterization of the surfaces produced by two different jet cutting processes namely abrasive waterjet (AWJ) cutting and laser machining. The surface profile measurements from experiments are modeled by auto regressive moving average (ARMA) models. These models are analyzed to identify the characteristics of the different profiles. Analysis of the Scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs of the surfaces generated by laser and AWJ reveal more information about the physics of these processes.
