Resumen
Scapular assessment is a critical component of a complete shoulder evaluation. In the last 10 years the ability to measure normal scapular kinematics during glenohumeral elevation has dramatically improved our understanding of normal scapular motion. Scapular-clinical-assessment techniques have been developed that need further consideration in their ability to discriminate abnormal from normal variation. Scapular-assessment findings need to follow a standard biomechanical terminology to improve communication among clinicians.
