Resumen
As the International Classification of Diseases 11th revision (ICD-11) mental health diagnostic system shifts away from a categorical classification of personality disorders in favor of a dimensional, severity and trait-based approach, it is important to adapt psychological treatment in line with this evolution. COMPASS, which loosely stands for Cognitive Behavioral Modules for Personality System, is a novel psychological intervention with discrete treatment components to address trait domains of Neuroticism/Negative Affectivity, (low) Conscientiousness/Disinhibition, and (low) Agreeableness/Dissociality. This chapter describes the rationale, development, and utility of the Compass model, along with its application for ICD-11 personality disorders and related traits, and co-occurring forms of psychopathology.
