Development of a spatial decision support system for assessment and management of combined sewers

Producción científica: Paperrevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

A spatial decision support system is developed for use in assessing and managing CSO sites for the state of Kentucky. The proposed system contains four separate components: 1) a graphic development component, 2) a graphic display component, 3) a database component, and 4) a model component. The proposed environment has been developed to provide decision makers with a PC-based platform for CSO management as well as an interface with the national EPA PCS (Permit Compliance System) Database. It is expected that the developed environment will provide the Kentucky Division of Water with a comprehensive framework for the assessment and management of CSO discharges in the state of Kentucky.
