Resumen

A persistent, extra-thyroidal focus of ¹³¹I on whole-body imaging of thyroid carcinoma usually represents a functioning metastasis. We report a case of ¹³¹I localization within a septated gallbladder, initially mimicking an isolated hepatic metastasis. Adjunctive liver/spleen and hepatobiliary scintigraphy helped to elucidate the true nature of this ¹³¹I activity.
