Resumen

• Sooty carbon collected at coal-fire vent in Perry County, Kentucky • C nanotubes encapsulate Hg, Se, As, and other elements - Despite indication of fullerenes in HR-TEM, TOF-SIMS shows that they are not as abundant as in soot from coal-fired power plant • Trace elements also associated with mineral phases co-sublimated with carbon.
