Resumen
Headaches are very common in children and adolescents. Headaches occur, on average, in 53% of children and adolescents. Most headaches are classified as migraines, tension headaches, or mixed headache syndrome. Headaches may be either acute or chronic and may be either progressive or non-progressive. Many headaches in children and adolescents are amenable to lifestyle changes and relaxation techniques. Medical management in conjunction with complimentary and alternative therapies often provides the best results for headache management.
