Resumen
multimedia-based instruction (MBI) has played an increasingly important role In many of the interventions in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping patients initiate conversations, improve play skills, and practice social conventions. ASD children seem to have a special affinity to multimedia. MBI presents concepts in a systematic, simple format, and it effectively gains and keeps the child?s attention while providing a less emotionally laden way to learn. Many children with ASD also find explicit routines in MBI comforting, circumventing difficult social demands through predictable interaction patterns.
