Resumen
We have developed a method for the determination of both 3',5' - AMP phosphodiesterase and 3',5' - GMP phosphodiesterase activity in specific tubular segments microdissected from the rat kidney. In particular, we have applied this technique to measure the activity of these two enzymes in the medullary collecting tubule and the medullary thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, two nephron segments recently shown to be major sites of VP-sensitive adenylate cyclase activity and responding to VP and cAMP by changes in water permeability or solute transport.
