Resumen
A previously published one-dimensional energy spectrum model was modified and applied to wall-bounded flows over a wide range of Reynolds numbers. To do so, empirical models were developed for the velocity variance and mean dissipation rate and integrated into the one-dimensional energy spectrum model. Comparison of energy distribution along the wavenumber vector showed consistent deviations of measured spectra from the idealized model. These deviations demonstrate that for perfect fidelity, additional terms need to be added to the current energy spectrum model.
