Optical investigation of CDW distortion in TaS3

Resumen

We have used bolometric infrared spectroscopy to look for metastable changes in the Peierls energy gap of TaS3 caused by: 1) polarization of the CDW at current contacts, and b) temperature cycling. In neither case were such changes observed.
