Resumen
PVT data available in the literature for ethyl alcohol have been utilized for the development of a reduced density correlation for this substance. The critical constants accepted in this study are those determined by Young 1 Tc = 516.3°K, Pc = 62.96 atm, and pe = 0.276 g/cm.3. To extend the available PVT information for ethyl alcohol over the complete range of temperatures up to TR = 1.8 and pressures up to PR = 40, use has been made of the available reduced density correlation of ammonia2 and the Nelson‐Obert compressibility factor charts3.
