Resumen

30-year-old woman infected with human immunodeficiency virus developed Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) pulmonary disease after immune restoration with highly active antiretroviral therapy. Although MAC lymphadenitis after immune reconstitution has been widely reported, pulmonary MAC disease after immune restoration with highly active antiretroviral therapy is rare. This is one of the few reports of pulmonary MAC disease after highly active antiretroviral therapy in a patient without a previous history of active MAC infection.
