Resumen
Background: Rit signaling promotes cell survival. Results: Rit controls stress-dependent p38-MSK1 signaling and CREB-mediated expression of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 proteins. Conclusion: Rit regulates a p38-MSK1-CREB survival cascade in cells adapting to stress. Significance: Defining how diverse stimuli induce CREB-dependent gene expression is crucial to understanding complex cellular processes ranging from development to disease.
