Seismic assessment of bridge embankments by access program

Producción científica: Conference contributionrevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

Microsoft Access, as a kind of database and a powerful tool for dealing with the data with the similar characteristics, will be beneficial to the seismic assessment of bridge's approach embankments, as there are usually a number of bridges located in the same district or along the same route which need to conduct the seismic assessment. Based on the slope analysis and the simplified assessment procedure for liquefaction, and by using the Access and VBA program, the authors developed the computer program SASB ("Seismic Assessment System for Bridges") to automate the assessment process. The computer program and the methodology for embankment assessment, including the slope stability assessment and the subsurface soil liquefaction potential assessment, were described in this paper.
